Since 1989, Bartow Family Resources has been building healthier communities and stronger families through education, services, mentoring, and prayer. Our vision is to have a community where every life is sacred, and families are valued. We provide a safe and loving environment for clients to learn, grow, and receive the support they need.

Bartow Family Recources is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization commited to supporting life, serving families, and shaping futures.

OUR HISTORY:

  1. 1989 BFR began as a Crisis Pregnancy Center in a local physician’s office under the umbrella of the Rome, Ga. CPC.
  2. 1990-2002 Moved to a building on the campus of Tabernacle Baptist Church; name changed to Women’s Resource Center
  3. 2007-2010 Recognized as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Expanded to 2nd building and built a Baby Boutique addition.
  4. 2011 Began Baby Bucks an incentivized learning program.
  5. 2012 Name changed to Bartow Family Resources due to the inclusion of fathers into the Baby Bucks program.
  6. 2013 The Relationship Center opened and served more than 100 counseling clients in its first year.
  7. 2015 BFR purchased its first property and moved to 200 Leake Street in Cartersville; opened Kingston satellite center.
  8. 2016 The process began for BFR Medical, a pregnancy medical clinic.
  9. 2017 BFR Medical opened and launch of Bartow Barahona in the Dominican Republic.
  10. 2018 BFR Medical expands services to include STI testing. 
  11. 2019 BFR Medical adds Abortion Pill Reversal (APR)
  12. 2019 BFR receives AAAHC Acredidation
  13. 2020 BFR continued to serve women and families in the midst of COVID-19. Babies & More program revamped. Implemented a new paperless client system. 
  14. 2021 the process began for our Medical Mobile Unit to serve more women in more locations
  15. 2022 BFR Medical Mobile Unit launched, serving Acworth/Kennesaw and South Bartow. 

We exist to serve women and families through their pregnancy and parenting journey. You don’t have to walk alone.
